TCRS is the Sydney’s specialist in Polished concrete. The grinding tools are usually
progressive grits of diamond grinding cup wheels and diamond polishing pads.Typically,
concrete is not considered polished before 400 grit, and it is normally finished to
eiPolished concrete is considered a good sustainable design flooring option because it
makes use of the materials already present.
Most modern buildings are built on a concrete slab; polishing the exposed concrete
eliminates the energy and material consumed by applying a floor covering. It is
something to consider when building or modernizing towards a more green solution.
We cover all areas of Sydney, so give us a call today to discuss options.
Polished concrete floors are low-maintenance, as they are more durable and easier to
clean than many flooring options. Its relatively high coefficient of friction can make it
non-slippery. Polished concrete reduces dust mite and allergen problems, and does not
support mould growth. Anecdotal evidence suggests highly reflective polished concrete reduces lighting needs and improves natural lighting, but as of yet there has not been
a study to confirm this. Polished concrete flooring is hard wearing and will not chip or
dent like softer surfaces such as timber and mopping with warm soapy water once a
week is the only maintenance required.
Self-leveling concrete is polymer-modified cement that has high flow characteristics
and, in contrast to traditional concrete, does not require the addition of excessive
amounts of water for placement. Self-leveling concrete is typically used to create a
flat and smooth surface with a compressive strength similar to or higher than that of
traditional concrete prior to installing interior floor coverings. Self-leveling concrete
has increased in popularity as the degree of flatness and smoothness required for floor
covering products has increased, with vinyl goods getting thinner and floor tiles getting
larger, for example.
It has often been proved that a certain type of epoxy coatings after laying does not have
the expected characteristics stated by manufacturers. It happens simply because the
floor has not been layed only and strictly by following the manufacturers' instructions
but by combining the manufacturers' instructions with procedures experienced by
contractors. Get TCRS out, to discuss your epoxy coatings needs.
Carpet and timber layers as well as tilers use various glue ranging from cement based
to epoxy based adhesive. This is commonly found when refurbishing residential,
commercial, and industrial properties. It requires grinding back the glue down to
existing concrete to ensure that any new application whatever it may be has a maximum
bond. TCRS also offer 24 hour emergency glue removal. Give us a call anytime day or
night. We travel to all parts of Sydney and beyond.
